This collection of songs constitutes my (currently unreleased) debut EP “Figures:”.
Lyrically, it is a record that strives to explore the reflection of self through the reflection of others. Sonically, it is the amalgamation of my eclectic background as a working session musician, producer and mixer.
Even though it was never my intention to tread the path of a performing artist, it was important to me to live through the artistic process from the artist's perspective. Not only to have a body of work that highlights my musical sensibilities, but more importantly to gain a stronger sense of empathy for the artists I work with.
In creative collaboration, understanding is an invaluable trait. True understanding can only be cultivated through lived experience.
All the songs on this EP were written, performed, produced, mixed and mastered by me. "Rain Is Me" features my dear friend Igor Egholm on Cello and "Sour Page, Sweetest Pen" the talented Noor Awada on vocals.
